TWENTY PERCENT COOLER: The adage in pro wrestling... →
The adage in pro wrestling is that if you’re seeing something on TV, it’s because you’re supposed to be seeing it. It’s a testament to Punk that everyone who watched Monday night was confused as to whether or not they were seeing something “real.” Punk wasn’t winking at the audience — he was waving at it, broadly and literally. He wasn’t merely connecting with average viewers by breaking down...

UPDATE: As of Tuesday, June 28, WWE and CM Punk have reached an agreement that Punk will fulfill his non-televised live event obligations for the remainder of his contract, through July 17. Furthermore, both sides have mutually agreed not to disparage one another.

The Usos Perform The Haka on Smacdown
New theme music, getting a push, AND using the Haka as an entrance?
Omfg, I’m so happy lol.
Josh Matthews got it wrong, though. The Haka is a sort of war dance, but it’s not used for intimidation or anything like “we’re going to kill you1111!!!” it’s a dance showing respect. Like, we’re going to give...

Sin Cara is 12-0 →
footnotesofwrestling:
For wrestling fans who like to track the numbers, the Torch is still the best thing going.
Perhaps most interesting: Ted Dibiase is on an 11 match losing streak.
Look out, Hollywood Hogan! Sin Cara is coming for your belt!
Chavo Guerrero got released?
writtenwrestling:
As Vickie would say…EXCUSE ME?!
He was asking for it.
…
Actually, that’s the truth. He requested a release a while back. He wasn’t happy with his position and was tired of the lifestyle.

There are cries from a few corners of the fandom that call for there to be more realism in the art, to make things look like a more legitimate form of fighting. I have to wonder whether those people have ever seen a real fight, i.e. a MMA match. Either they’re already MMA fans and miss the entire…
