In that short period of time, Brian Pillman held it twice, Jushin Liger had it once, Scotty Flamingo (Raven) had it for fifteen days, and Brad Armstrong was the last to hold it before having the title stripped from him due to an injury. There was supposed to be a tournament to crown a new WCW Light Heavyweight Champion in late 1993, but that never occurred and the championship would eventually be brought back as the WCW Cruiserweight Championship close to four years later.
