With tonight’s WWE Survivor Series PPV, I figure that posting this would be appropriate as they’re my favorite adverts for this PPV. In 1993’s WWF Survivor Series, the Foreign Fanatics (Captain Yokozuna, Ludvig Borga, and the Quebecers) were set to take on the All Americans (Captain Lex Luger, Tatanka, and the Steiner Brothers). For whatever reasons, members were changed right before the PPV aired in order to hype up the animosity between the two groups and Tatanka and Pierre of the Quebecers sat out to nurse (kayfabe) injuries. I’m not too sure which of their replacements were weirder as the Hawaiian-born Crush joined the Foreign Fanatics while The Undertaker became part of the All Americans.

This lead to a fun change of art on the VHS release of WWF Survivor Series 1993:

With all that said — who do you think will walk away victorious tonight, Team Foley or Team Punk? Do you have a favorite Survivor Series year?? Do you remember when the WWF held this tradition the day before Thanksgiving???
