Wrestling Retribution Project
It’s a shame this company never got off the ground. 13 episodes were taped in advance to be distributed on Netflix featuring such talent as Kassius Ohno, MVP, Colt Cabana, Amazing Red, Sami Callihan, Joey Ryan, Chris Masters, Luke Gallows, and Kenny Omega. Each guy was given a new gimmick to work with.
My favorite had to be MVP going under the name of Lord of War.
“My character is the Lord of War, an Iraq war veteran returning to the US with a sense of entitlement,” MVP told Scott Fishman of the Miami Herald in an interview. “He feels betrayed by his country. Typically in the world of wrestling your war hero is a good guy. You want to cheer for him. In this case, the Lord of War is not a good guy at all. He is very anti-American. He feels he and his brothers in arms have been betrayed by his country and the establishment.” [source]
At first, I thought that the Kassius Ohno moniker was a kiss of death for Mr. Chris Hero, but the guy has been looking good lately. I’m looking forward to the day this guy is brought onto the main roster.
R.I.P. Viro the Virus.
Chris Is Awesome - Viro The Virus (fan made music video).
- Flex Kavana (The Rock)
- The Prototype (John Cena)
- Kassius Ohno (Chris Hero)
Maybe he’ll do fine.
“All Hail The Kings” - J-Roc and Revolution
A look at the greatest tag team in wrestling; THE KINGS OF WRESTLING. An MV so good that Chris Hero himself featured it on his personal youtube page. If you’re not familiar with the Kings, watch this before they show up on RAW sometime soon. ;)
