Match Of The Day:
Owen Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin - IC Title Match (Part One)
SummerSlam
August 3, 1997
At the July 6th Canadian Stampede PPV, Hart pinned Austin in a five on five match. On the following RAW, Austin attacked Hart while he was singing the Canadian National Anthem and told Vince McMahon that if he didn’t beat Hart at SummerSlam and take his title, he’d kiss Owen’s ass.
After this match, on the next night’s RAW, Owen came out and cut a promo in one of the most memorable WWE shirts I’ve ever seen.

“WWF vs WCW” - Cracked Magazine #334 [May 1999]
Another wrestling parody taken from a magazine that I loved to collect whenever I was younger. Cracked is no longer printed but continues to thrive as an online humor site that specializes in well-written pop culture articles and lists. Kinda weird to think that I still manage to be a fan a full twenty years after buying my first issue (where they lampooned Batman Returns).
Anyways, click through for Cracked’s Academy Awards For Wrestlers and know that the guy I like to imagine that’s getting blow’d up by Kane in the cover’s background is Scott Hall for some reason.
“Cracked Thumb Wrestlers” - Cracked Magazine #334 [May 1999]
Turn your Friday into a Funday by printing this, cutting the wrestlers out, and staging your own WWF vs WCW battle inside of your cubicle! Provide your workplace with reasons to question your mental health while recreating Hogan vs Goldberg!
Match Of The Day:
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon
Steel Cage Match
St. Valentine’s Day Massacre: In Your House
February 14th, 1999
I know, I know… no one really likes Vince McMahon.
Matter of fact, I’m not fond of the guy or a lot of his decisions myself (if I mark over any McMahon, it’s definitely Shane). However, at the time that this PPV aired, all I remember was that it was so cool that Vince was out there wrestling!
Leave me alone, I was young and impressionable.
I’m not too sure which is worse here, the close-to-tears look on “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s face or the back-to-school attire he has on. All this little guy needs is a JanSport backpack to sling around his shoulder, and he’s ready for his first day in the ninth grade!
Jakks Pacific, you were absolutely awful.
Undertaker’s Symbol Catches on Fire - WWF RAW is WAR [12/7/1998]
A great photo that captures the unveiling of the infamous Undertaker symbol that caused the WWF to get tons of heat whenever it took part in “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s “crucifixion” (which actually happened a little after this photo was taken on the same show). For those who are wondering, The Undertaker interrupted an Austin promo to reveal this giant icon and used his magic powers to conjure that weird fake lightning the WWF used to do to strike his own symbol.
