WWE Wrestlefest Gameplay Trailer
Like I said last week, this iPhone/iPad title looks like something that should just be avoided at all costs. This quick clip of the gameplay not only confirms my original assessment of the downloadable title but also highlights the game’s bare-bones overall presentation. To pay $5.29 for a game that has zero sound effects for your basic attacks and no in-game match music is kinda shitty especially when you consider that the original 1991 arcade title which THQ is (supposedly) recreating had both of those! Plus commentary!! And it only cost 25 cents!!!
A rush job designed to cash-in on peoples’ nostalgia — stay away.
WWE Wrestlefest Set for Release for iOS Platforms, Details Are Sketchy
Don’t be fooled — this isn’t a reskinned version of the classic arcade title, WWF Wrestlefest. Instead, this is nothing more than a lookalike version that the WWE is putting out with an updated roster, DLC content, and a multiplayer mode. It seems that people are expecting this title to be released in the App Store on Tuesday, but there really isn’t anything confirmed yet as this was all leaked during the day.
Personally, I stay the hell away from any title that feature virtual joysticks, but it’s your money.
WWE ‘12 Legends Pack is Released, “Macho Madness” Reigns Supreme!
As much as I love the fact that the “Macho Man” is available in a proper WWE game, this theme just isn’t cutting it. They had the proper one in WWE All Stars, but not this one — so weird.
Also included in the DLC package are “The Animal” Batista, Mick Foley, and free downloads of Brodus Clay (Pre-Funk) and “Attitude Era” Kane.
WWE ‘12 CAW of the Week: The Impact Players by NickBreaker! [Xbox 360]

While this tag team didn’t last long in ECW, they still were one of the most memorable, dominating duo in the world of hardcore. Justin Credible and Lance Storm were unstoppable in 1999, and it’s created characters like this that make paying full price for WWE ‘12 worth it to me. I mean, where else could you turn to in order to see if the Road Warriors or Demolition could withstand a kendo stick to the skull?
I just need a downloadable Dawn Marie to complete the stable…

WWF RAW Intro [SNES 1994]
One of my favorite wrestling games of all time. I used to love seeing Doink’s body crumble to the ground after getting a hard shot from a steel bucket.

WWE’ 12 CAW of the Week: Chris Jericho by Petchy [Xbox 360]

Monday’s return of the Ayatollah of Rock n’ Rolla made this week’s choice a complete no-brainer. For a man who has had many looks throughout his career, it’s incredible to see one CAW creator out to capture as many of them as he possibly can. With fourteen different attires to choose from spread out amongst four different Y2J CAW downloads, it’ll be tough deciding which one deserves the spot as your Undisputed WWE Champion.

WWE’ 12 CAW of the Week: Ultimate Warrior by Trial and Error [Xbox 360]

As a guy who loves the Create-A-Wrestler feature inside the WWE games, I always find myself impressed by what some of the CAW master creators are capable of doing. Making an Ultimate Warrior wrestler that’s spot-on is no small task but doing it four times over with the attention to the smallest of details makes this a must download for anyone who has WWE ‘12 for the Xbox 360.
Trial and Error, you’re doing God’s work.
