“Brock Lesnar hates human beings. Period. That’s it. Doesn’t like people. He lives on a compound in what I like to call Texas Chainsaw Massacre Minnesota. You cannot find his address on a GPS. He lives off two dirt roads and it’s a compound. His mail is delivered to his attorney’s office in Minneapolis, they sort through it and then when they see him they hand him the rest of his mail. That’s it. He does not like people and he wants to be left alone and that’s what drives him. That’s what makes him Brock Lesnar. There’s a lot to be afraid of with Brock Lesnar. He’s a violent man living in a violent society and it’s a society that couldn’t handle him if he decided to conquer it.”
There are some interesting things currently happening during the WWE house shows…
“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair Returns, Challenges Crippled CM Punk to a Fight - WWE RAW [12/17/2012]
Apparently, I was completely wrong when I thought they announced all the Slammy winners during the TLC PPV, and the WWE DID have the Slammy Awards last night during RAW. I followed along everybody’s live tweets during the show, and I know that I was missing out on something special once I saw everyone in unison just tweeting out “WOOOOOOOOOOOO!”.
I think I need to start watching these shows live more often.
Paul E. Dangerously praying to his “idol”, Vince McMahon — fun photo from God knows when.
Steve Austin and Paul E. Dangerously - WCW
Guess who else was a Paul Heyman guy…
WCW WresleWar ‘92 Advert [5/17/1992]
I miss Paul Heyman’s oversized phone. He should resurrect this gimmick.
Sting’s Squadron vs Paul E.’s Dangerous Alliance - WCW Magazine #6 [June 1992]
This issue of WCW had two different covers printed on both sides, covers that showcased the groups who’d be at war with each other at the upcoming WCW WrestleWar ‘92 PPV event. Personally, my money would go with Heyman’s group as he had Stone Cold AND Rick Rude on his side, but the Stinger had “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes in HIS pocket. That man grew up to be Goldust!
Ryback Can’t Lift Paul Heyman, Shellshocks CM Punk Just Fine - WWE RAW World Tour [10/21/2012]
A fun clip that kinda kills part of Ryback’s appeal to me. When you book a guy as an unstoppable badass that’s relies on brute strength to win matches, it looks terrible to see him struggle to lift a guy like Paul Heyman.
Then again, did you see how he manhandled Punk?! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone do to that the WWE Champion. BY GAWD, THIS RYBACK IS A HUNGRY MONSTER, COLE!!
“Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin and a Twenty-Year-Old Paul Heyman [March 1985]
I love posting photos like this for people who might only know Heyman as being “the ECW guy”. Hell, I never even realized that he’s been around in the wrestling world this long. He officially made his debut in 1987, but this photo was taken during his time as a promoter for Studio 54. Wrestling was a part of his life by then, but I’m not too sure exactly how he first got involved as a manager.
Weirdly enough, Amazon has a listing for The Heyman Hustle: Wrestling’s Most Extreme Promotor Tells All by Paul Heyman himself listed on their site. However, I wouldn’t get too excited — the book is set to release on December 31st, 2030.
