Razor Ramon - WWF Magazine [October 1992]
I included this photo in that WWF Magazine piece I transcribed earlier today, but I think that it warranted its own single post.
Such a great look.

“Razor Ramon: Taking His Piece of America” by Keith Elliot Greenberg - WWF Magazine [October 1992]
“The crowd on the Havana dock surged toward the rickety fishing boat. The vessel rocked back and forth perilously as people rushed onto the deck, clutching bundles of their belongings and squealing children. In the distance, a siren was heard. The army was coming to try to force the refugees to remain on Cuban shores, so it was imperative to leave immediately.
The people continued to pile onto the boat, desperate for a last chance to flee the Communist country before the militarily troops arrived.
Now a jeep started down the street leading to the dock, the headlights beaming onto the swaying craft.
‘Basta!’ the captain called to those still swarming onto the boat — Enough!”
Razor Ramon - WWF Magazine [October 1992]
Love this photo found in the middle of an interview with Razor Ramon, WWF Magazine’s way of introducing this new character to their audience. The entire piece is interesting since its whole purpose is to sell the idea of a Cuban immigrant coming to America in an attempt to conquer it. Look for the article to be posted here on Friday.
Also — nice pants, chico.
“The Narcissist” Lex Luger Poses - WWF Monday Night RAW [4/26/1993]
Growing up, this guy was one of my favorites due to the weird backstory that the World Wrestling Federation gave him. Luger had a steel plate inserted into his arm due to a motorcycle accident he had in 1992, and the WWF made this oddity part of his actual in-ring story as “The Narcissist” began to utilize a running clothesline [edit: forearm, whoops!] to knock his opponents out.

Such a strange thing to point out but completely believable to the mind and logic of a nine-year-old. I loved it.
Bret Hart vs Owen Hart - WWF SummerSlam [8/29/1994]
This match will always have a place in my personal top-five bouts of all time due specifically for it being the first wrestling card I was exposed to. As a kid living out in the country, weekly WWF viewings were an impossibility, making the local video rental store my only outlet to see guys like Sting, Bret Hart, and Hulk Hogan. I was aware of these characters already through video games, but it wasn’t until I saw the WWF SummerSlam 1994 VHS tape until I took my first step into this world for real real.
The best thing is that even though Bret and Owen ended up being the best match on the tape and one the greatest matches in both mens’ careers, the real reason I rented it was because of the infamously awful main event, The Undertaker vs The Undertaker!
The Rock Models His Poontang Pie Shirt - WWF ShopZone Advert [2000]
When we asked you readers about the worst wrestling shirts a month back, it seems that several of you brought up either the APA “Always Pounding Ass” shirt and this particular one that The Rock is modeling here.
I don’t need to say much, but I will agree with the general consensus here. What the hell were they thinking?

Hulkamania Spoof - MAD Magazine #264 [July 1986]
Another fantastic parody cover from MAD Magazine featuring a WWF SuperStar, drawn by the legendary Mort Drucker. The word legendary is not used lightly here as the cartoonist and caricaturist has been working with the magazine for over five decades now and even received several awards for his work throughout his illustrious career.
